“I don’t want to have to look at his land anymore!” cried Patrizio Monty, jabbing a finger at Consort Capp.
“I don’t want to have to look at HIS land anymore!” Consort Capp thundered, making a movement to throw a third glass of water at him.
“FINE!” yelled the exasperated judge who had been dealing with this for six hours.
Far from Belladonna Cove and Downtown’s politics, far from Pleasantview’s suburban nightmare, closer perhaps to the bizarre road of Strangetown than any other town in Sim State, a town not quite as rural as Riverblossom Hills but not quite as suburban as Pleasantview has spiraled out of control. The Capps and the Montys, both equally involved in crime and legitimate business alike, have been feuding for so long that nobody can truly remember how it was started - nobody except for Patrizio Monty, Consort Capp, and Contessa Capp’s urn anyway. Every citizen of the town has been told a different story about the feud’s origins. One thing they can all agree on though, the feud has cost at least five lives and has moved from a spat to a bloody war, bringing out only the worst in each family. The split has transformed from a metaphorical one into a physical one, with both families drawing the line in the map along the river and grabbing up land just to stop the other family owning it. The ugly wall and the extortionate housing make it almost impossible for new families to move into the town. Aside from a few stragglers renting from Consort Capp, the Summerdreams, and the boarding students at Veronaville Private School, Veronaville has essentially become the playground for their feud. Now, with the younger generation rebelling against the feud, Veronaville faces another bloody crisis.

The two sides refuse to even shop together, and have developed very differently because of this. With kids from all over Sim State bussed in to or boarding at Veronaville Private School, founded by Cleopatra Capp and subsequently built up as the oldest prestigious school in Sim State, a strong case was made to build them a shopping district. And so, the Capp business district sprung up. As a local hub for Capp Corp., which can be found in every city in Sim State, it makes it easy for the Capps to run their empire and gives them a space to run their somewhat less legal operations. Capps have high standards, and you can tell that just by looking at the emotional damage in their children. The only thing standing in their way of ‘upgrading’ all of Veronaville is the Monty clan hanging onto their land. The Monty school and business district is, when compared to the Capp opulence, somewhat modest. Known for it’s delicious local food, llama wool, and unwelcoming atmosphere, it’s a sparsely inhabited side of town. The Montys cling to their rural roots, and while that may seem like a good thing it actually means the only housing options in town are those the Capps rent out at extortionate rates.
Since the Veronaville youth are kept apart so strictly, with the Montys refusing to even apply to private school despite being able to afford it, nobody can quite understand how Romeo and Juliette found each other. Or why Tybalt and Mercutio keep managing to get into fights. One thing is for sure though, the town is on the brink of either alienating an entire generation and turning into a ghost town, or turning into a literal ghost town in a senseless bloodbath between two families built on pride who don’t care how they keep their status.
